Lymphedema Resources, Inc. – Claire Hauenstein
Funds education, outreach, and treatment for uninsured/underinsured breast cancer survivors at risk of developing lymphedema and those already coping with this affliction. Financial assistance for physician prescribed lymphedema therapy and compression garments is provided to qualified clients. Geographical Area Served: Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties.

The Gaila Fund is a non-profit organization that provides patients with breast cancer stylish hats at no cost.
American Cancer Society “tlc” Catalog
The American Cancer Society provides a catalog that features products to help women cope with the effects of breast cancer. “tlc” contains hats, turbans, twists and head wraps, wigs, prosthetics, mastectomy bras, and specially made swimsuits. You may shop from the privacy of your own home. The catalog also provides tips on how to wear hats and scarves.
Learn Holistic Healing Techniques for Breast Cancer Survivors
A group healing experience helps you explore your emotional responses to your cancer diagnosis, invasive treatments, and life style and body image changes. It helps you explore your relationship with yourself and others. You experience cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and holistic coping skills. The group gives you another form of support with women facing similar challenges. Each meeting ends with gentle breath exercises.

Provides under/uninsured, low income individuals diagnosed with breast cancer access to diagnostic and staging procedures, treatment, genetic screening, stipends, psychosocial support, and education. Senior Friendship Centers of Lee County
Senior Friendship Centers of Lee County provides a continuum of care by utilizing retired volunteer physicians and other health care professionals. Low-income, uninsured women ages 50-64 are eligible for physical exams, scheduling, clinical breast exams, baseline and annual mammograms, individual education, help with transportation as needed, and follow-up.

A New Dawn, Inc. is a private boutique which provides mastectomy bras, breast prosthetics, swimsuits, wigs and hair pieces, scarves and hats. Dawn Love, owner, is a certified fitter.
Barry Anton’s is a hair salon in Cape Coral featuring Aveda products and stylists. They will provide free constultation, wig and follow up visits to people who need hair replacement as a result of chemotherapy and/or other related cancer treatment and cannot afford a wig. Please consider timing as wigs can take up to three weeks to come in after ordering. Limited to one wig per person. Please call for an appointment. Certain restrictions apply.

The information includes what their services are, how an evaluation might benefit you, what you can expect to happen during your visit, what their genetic counseling includes, and if cancer risk counseling is right for you.
