Susan G. Komen for the Cure^® Southwest Florida

SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA was established in November of 2002 and is dedicated to furthering the Komen mission in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. Our promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures in our area.

Since our inception, the Southwest Florida Affiliate has awarded 3 million dollars in community outreach programs and contributed over 1 million dollars to the Komen Award and Research Grant Program.

Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by this Affiliate will remain in Southwest Florida to fund a variety of community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved.

A minimum of 25 percent of net proceeds will support the Komen Award and Research Grant Program.
